Gina Rodriguez has officially given birth to her first kid!

A source for the Jane the Virgin star revealed to PopSugar that she and husband Joe LoCicero had their first child. No more details were provided, such as the baby’s name or gender. The pair has also yet to reveal any further information.

The Jane the Virgin star, announced in July on her 38th birthday that she and her husband, actor Joe LoCicero, 36, were expecting their first child. “This birthday hits different,” she captioned her Instagram post.

They met in 2017 while working on the show after LoCicero performed as a stripper in a cameo role.

Rodriquez was observed taking a stroll in Los Angeles on Saturday (18 March) while carrying a newborn in a baby carrier strapped to her chest. PageSix has got photographs of the actor.

The Independent has reached out to Rodriguez’s team for confirmation.

Last year, the actor revealed that he has Hashimoto’s disease, an autoimmune ailment that causes hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid).

Since then, the singer has been releasing photos from her pregnancy, including one from her romantic outdoor maternity shoot with LoCicero. She shared more images of herself outside in early December, with her burgeoning baby bulge on full view.

This year, the couple celebrated three years of marriage after marrying in May 2019. “With that one kiss, we got 100 new family members” my 9-year-old niece, Mia Thank you to my mother-in-law for the wedding of my dreams. And the village that helped her!” The actress confirmed their marriage on Instagram at the time. “May 4th, 2019 was absolute MAGIC. To my husband Joseph, I am yours forever.”

Rodriguez wrote to her former Jane the Virgin co-star in a May social media message in honor of their anniversary, “My closest friend and I have been married for three years. You’ve arrived.”

The expectant mother told ET about their upcoming child in August, “I’m taking some hardcore prenatal classes, working on that pelvic floor.”

The pregnant star was preparing at the moment. “I’m taking some intense pregnancy classes to strengthen my pelvic floor,” she told ET. “My husband is training to be a doula, my doula. He’s really next level.”
