I don’t know what about you, but for me the New Year’s season rush is so «tasty». I absorb the excitement, wishes, expectations, and hopes of the people around. I love listening to their stories, their plans, share this sense of happiness and regeneration. It is the time of positivity, everyone is thinking about positive things; where to spend the days, what to eat, what to do, who to spend it with all this whilst creating an atmosphere filled with love and light.
As an Integrative Health Coach I find a lot of health benefits during this time of the year.
Firstly –
on the emotional side. The streets are adorned with beautiful decorations, there is light everywhere including at night taking us into a dream world where all seems possible. Taking us away from our routines, problems and questions to a realm where all our dreams will become true. Thus our body and mind let go of the accumulated stress and let us be calm and enjoy the momentum, which we seem to be unable to do (without practicing skills) during the rest of the year, but which is so crucial for the wellbeing of our body, mind and soul.
Secondly –
food We pay so much attention to the quality and the quantity which is important for our physical health but also the people and atmosphere we surround ourselves with affects us emotionally. And this is the right time to do it! The one week a year you let go of most of your inhibitions and where you decide – where, what and with whom YOU WANT to be.
Enjoy it, be grateful, don’t feel guilty but perhaps think – how good it would be if we spent more than just this time in real happiness. What can we change to our routine to hang on to this sense of fulfilment? Maybe we should choose our friends more wisely, maybe you need to find a new place, maybe you finally need to let go of toxic relationships that don’t let you ove forward but you can’t seem to find courage to quit– so this the the right time to eflect and to step into the New Year a new you…
Be realistic with your expectations and resolutions but be proactive! Make that time for your friends and family, connect with them, value their opinion and they will value yours in return. If you feel lonely, reach out, there are always people around who will open their homes and hearts. Who are there to support, to navigate and maybe sometimes – to teach. The world is the same – it’s us, human beings moving back and forward, left and right and creating actions, events, and feelings. So, here it is important to keep your base, your roots. Always remember what makes You – You and hang on to it!
Remember the importance of
Love in our Lives, Love to the Past, Love to the Present, Love for the Future. Feel Love for everything and for everyone, and always – Love Yourself – this is the key to a better, Healthy and Happy life!
